In 2010, I devoted myself to understanding the stress response and how it affects our physical and mental well-being and performance. Research like that of Dr. Marianne Legato at Columbia University brought me to realize that it wasn't enough to remain calm and confident right before a particular event. As a registered nurse who has worked through the Covid-19 pandemic and on a variety of different units including psych, general medicine telemetry, and critical care, I have personal experience with how stress affects medical professionals.

I wanted to improve how I manage stress within the context of my work.
